REGISTRATION & RULES
We take rules and regulations very seriously and reserve the right to refuse registration. Please review the following list of rules and regulations carefully to remain eligible to WIN!
WEIGH-IN RULES
Only 1 fish per participant is allowed to be weighed/registered at any one time. You can register multiple fish but at different times. Fish will be weighed and measured to the nearest 1/4th inch. The winning fish will be by weight, with length used as a tiebreaker. Each subsequent fish registered supersedes any previous fish. Fish must be legally caught in accordance to Ohio laws. All fish must be caught by a registered participant.
PARTICIPANT RULES
The participant weighing the fish, owns and is fully responsible for that fish. All participants must have a valid fishing license if required by the state of Ohio. If fishing from a boat, only registered participants may be on board. Boats must be legally registered and equipped with all required equipment and safety devices in accordance with Ohio laws.
REGISTRATION RULES
For mail in or drop off @ Erie Outfitters. All registration forms must be legible, completed, signed, and dated by contestants to be considered valid. We reserve the right to refuse registration for any reason. Registration for the 2022 Summer Slam begins April 14th. Registration for the Fall Slam is August 1st.
Mulitiple derby RULES
Fish weighed in at other derbys are allowed to be weighed in the Walleye Slam. If you have a fish that's being weighed in at multiple other contests, feel free to weigh it in ours too!
solo angler RULES
Solo Anglers division is for shore fishing and kayak fishing as an individual for the Fall Slam only. The Solo Angler division pays out the top 3 fish caught from shore or on a kayak. You are eligible to win the main division. If a Solo Angler places in the main top spots they will be eligible to win the higher of either payouts.
additional rules on prizes
Grand prize boat winner for the new Summer Slam and Fall Slam titles on the boat, motors, and trailer will be transferred after a lie detector test is passed, and a W-9 is completed and returned. All winners are responsible for tax liabilities. Live Leaderboard prizes will be awarded at the VIP party or, available for pickup at Erie Outfitters. In case of a tie for same weight and length for the Grand Prize will be broken by the flip of a coin.
The Walleye Slam is held in the Ohio waters of Lake Erie only! Sorry, no MI, PA, NY, or Canada waters.
Important times
SUPER SLAM SATURDAY starts at 12:01 am Saturday and goes until 6:00 pm on that Saturday. You just have to be in line at the participating tackle store before the cut off time of 6:00pm. Weigh ins open from 6:00am-6:00pm

kids division
Same rules apply for kids as adults. Only 15 and under qualify, must not turn 16 before July 18th 2022. Top 4 or 5 WEEKLY kids fish will win gift cards (dependent upon sponsors).
